Земную жизнь пройдя до половины
Feb. 10th, 2013 10:12 pmВ моей жизни было очень мало поступков, о которых я сожалею. Зато сожалею о многом, чего не сделал, или сделал слишком поздно.
Почему так получилось? В нужный момент не хватило решимости, или независимости, или воли, или времени. Хотя про время это уже отговорка.
Один из персонажей Достоевского дает такую самохарактеристику: "Мои желания слишком несильны; руководить не могут". Я когда впервые прочитал эти слова, был поражен.
Кажется это называется теплохладность.

Why did I not do those things? For the lack of courage, fear of nonconformity, insufficient will or time. To put it frankly, a lack of time is only an excuse.
One of Dostoevsky's characters says about himself 'My desires are too weak; they are not enough to guide me.' I was struck dumb when I first read these words.
This is called being lukewarm, isn't it?
